I captured the original photograph during a storm in Cannes, when the Mediterranean had completely transformed. The sea was powerful and unpredictable, the waves rising and crashing with an energy that felt almost alive.

I moved closer to the ocean with my camera. It was a little frightening — the wind, the sound of the waves, and the force of the water created an atmosphere that felt intense and mesmerizing.

In a single moment, one wave rose and twisted in a way that instantly caught my attention. For a fraction of a second, the shape looked like a dragon emerging from the sea.
